Depending on the age of the vehicle, one of the engine control devices might have ceased to function properly. Go to a car parts store and see if they will run a code check on your vehicle. There are some who will do that for you at no charge. But then, buy your parts from them. And find somebody who knows about cars, and have them install the new part(s)if you ar not able to. Change your ignotion switch in your steering column just under your key core.

Daylight driving = bright dash lights Night driving = dimmed dash lights. This automatic dimming feature assumes that you only drive with your lights on during poor light or night conditions.
Try pressing the emergency brake pedal one click to turn off Daytime running lights - Works in my 97
This sounds like a bad light switch. The head lights are usually wired seperately from all other lights so the only common point is at the switch.
The lights on the odometer on a 1999 Chevy Blazer might not work because of a burned out fuse. They might also not work if the lights are burned out.
Hi. I have a 2002 ZR2 Blazer. The daytime running lights were driving me crazy. I like to control everything on my car, and don't like anything automatic, other than the transmission. Anyway, try this. On the panel where the headlight knob is, there is a push button. With the engine running, push the button in quickly four times. After the fourth time, there should be a chime. That is how to get into bypass mode for the running lights. If you want to bypass them, you'll need to do it every time you start the engine. Hope this helps. Mark

If you have no dash lights at all on your 1989 S10 Blazer, a blown bulb can be the problem. You should also check the fuse.
No
Are your lights automatic or do you have to turn them on??? If there automatic then you need to turn the knob to the left of the steering wheel and turn it to "Off" and its the same if there not automatic too.
The alternator is failing.
A blown fuse can make your dashboard lights to not work in your 1993 Chevy Blazer Tahoe. A burned out bulb can also cause this.
