Because the mass is the amount of matter that makes up the object. That doesn't

depend on where the object is located.

The weight of an object is the force of gravity that attracts the object to other masses.

The bigger and closer the other mass is, the stronger the force is, so the greater is the

object's weight.

Can an object have zero weight?

Yes, weight depends on the gravity of the planet. The weight of an object is different on a planet with a different gravity. An object has zero weight in outer space. No! An object does not have zero weight in outer space. Why? Because gravity exists in outer space.

If an object has a mass of 75 kg what is it's weight?

Its weight depends on the force of gravity acting on the mass. In outer space, for example, its weight will be 0.

Is cloud a celestial object?

No. A celestial object is an object in outer space, such as a planet, star, meteor or comet. Clouds are not in outer space, therefore they are not a celestial object.

Does a satellite have weight in outer space?

no

When the object's weight changes with gravity does the mass stays the same?

Of course the objects mass will not change. Since there is no gravity in space(moon), only the objects weight will change. No matter where the object the mass will stay the same!

Is the density of an object the same in outer space as on earth?

Yes

What is a person's mass in outer space?

A person's mass remains the same in outer space because mass is a measure of the amount of matter an object contains. However, their weight, which is a measure of the force of gravity acting on them, would be different in outer space because there is less gravity.

Why weight of free falling objects is zero?

The mass of an object is the same wherever the object is (even outer space), but its weight depends on how the mass is affected by gravity. So it's convenient to measure weight using scales. If the object was sitting on some scales as they were both falling to earth the scales would show zero because there would be no pressure from the object.
