There may be a current draw on the A/C clutch or the fan. Try to remove the plug on the A/C compressor for the clutch. Then try the blower fan plug. You get the idea. If it is the compressor clutch you can replace just the clutch, not easy but it can be done. There will be special tools involved and tight spaces.
