Why does hard plastic melt when left in contact with soft plastic?

I don't know yet here is important information on the subject. There are two types of plastics - called thermoflex and thermoset. Thermoflex will melt upon reheating while Thermoset will not. Put them into physical contact with each other and watch to see which one reacts and changes shape.
