The 4x4 slipping means that the transmission for the 4 wheel drive is not engaging like it should. The 1996 Honda might need to have the trans-axle repaired.

What would cause a 1999 Honda passport to have a bucking sensation?

If the whole car feels like its bucking it could be the transmission is slipping. Either its going bad or you need to get new transmission fluid. Sometimes older cars, especially automatics, do that if you put in a lower gear other than drive.

1990 Honda accord What would cause the trans not to engage. Will engage in all gears for about 30 scds then nothing. its like it wants to work but wont.?

IF YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION , ITS SLIPPING AND IT SOUND LIKE YOU EITHER HAVE NOT BEEN PUTTING TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE CAR ON A REGULAR BASIS OR YOU HAVE MESSED UP THE TRANSMISSION ALL TOGETHER YOU NEED TO TAKE TO A TRAMISSION SHOP AND LET THEM DO A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK ON THE CAR, MORE AND LIKELY YOU NEED A TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. OR A COMPONENT REPLACE ON THE TRANS.
