There''s an o-ring in there. Probably needs a new one.
The th350 tranny was not stock to the car, rather it was a 700r4. Either a new kickdown cable is needed for the conversion or adjustments made to the existing cable.
When the throttle blades are wide open, the kickdown cable should be ALMOST completely extended.
Tranny cooler? sounds like bs to me. But the kickdown is something this car has a problem with. I recommend going to multiple mechanics and ask for a quote.
No, but without it you'll need to manually shift it up and down for passing or other quick acceleration situations.
You can substitute a 400 for a 350. Get one with the same length tailshaft as the 350 you are replacing. You'll need the correct driveshaft yoke, and the kickdown is different.
kick down cable to down shift tranny on your throttle linkage may be broken somewhere down the line if not then try changing tranny fluid and filter if filter is dirty they don't like down shifting at all .................if it backfires right after you try to get it to down shift then its just getting too much gas and isn't in the rpm range to take that much fuel
Possibly because the pan gasket is warped or crimped up, or one of the coolant pipes has loosened up where it enters the rad.
NO engine management needs input from trans its electric controls . 90 trans is tv cable no feedback could cause trouble plus no where to hook up tv cable
yes yes
powerglide is a tranny
The first thing is to make sure you have the correct bracket if you are using a after market intake. If you are not using a after market bracket then you turn the set screw clockwise to tighten the tension and counter clockwise to loosen the tension.
The rear seal is bad. This is easy to fix. Seal is less than $20.00. Labor is under 1 hour.
