The patches on the moon are the crators, the crators have shadows which make the craters darker. Which makes the moon appear patchy.
Something like the image in the link below
Because it was on the night of a full moon.
Good questoin probaly by the man on the moon lol
The phases of the moon are The phases of the moon appear to change because the earth rotates on it's axis and the moon orbits the earth. The sunlight hits a different part of the moon that is visible to us. Half of the moon is always lit up, you just can't always see it.
The moon in the days before and after a full moon appear as a gibbous moon. A gibbous moon is anything between a full moon and a half moon.
they appear bright be cause the light from the sun is hitting the moon and planets to make them look bright.
It's actually what Patchy the Pirate was going to look like before the guy who plays him was hired.
it depends on how the earth is facing and bc of the galaxy.
The Moon's orbit is elliptical; it can be as near to Earth as 240,000 miles and as far as 280,000 miles. Near the horizon, there are atmospheric illusions that make the Moon appear to be larger than it is. The more "full" the Moon is, the bigger it appears to be. When these factors are combined, at the time of the perigee full moon, the Moon can be objectively about 15% larger than normal, and the illusion at Moonrise can make the Moon appear to be enormous. The moon looks different sizes at different times due to the distance apart it is from earth. The further away the moon is from earth the smaller it will look. The closer to earth it is the bigger it will look.
This is a well-known optical illusion which is most likely caused by the relative sizes of objects surrounding the Moon. Clouds and buildings appear smaller near the horizon, which makes the Moon look much larger in comparison. When the Moon is high in the sky, clouds and perhaps buildings around it are much closer to you, which makes the Moon look smaller in comparison.
The moon has never appeared to look rainbow colour, if it does it is because your eyes are playing tricks on you or because you are on drugs.
It will appear as a Gibbous moon (3/4 of a full moon).
the Myelin Sheath Myelin Sheath Your welcome I had to look for it
The moon sometimes appears red because of smoke or dust in the air. It's really the air that is 'red', but it makes the moon look that way, too.
it would still appear to rotate

Pollution in the earths atmosphere. That also can make it look brown, orange or red.
