Mine did the same thing. The problem is with the control unit itself. New costs about $450. But you can pick one up at a junkyard for around $100. It's very easy to change out. The covers pull off exposing screws. Remove the screws and carefully unscrew and unplug the connectors on the back. Put the new one back in the same way you took the old one out. That will fix the problem.
