check the jetting.
You might want to chech your idle air bypass valve it is located next to the throttle posision sensor. They uild up with carbon and do not want to work properly
I would be looking for a vacuum leak.
A faulty IAC will cause stalling problems at idle. Most of the time if you hold the gas pedal down it will run fine. Be careful because these symptoms can come from an EGR valve that is stuck open aswell. If you have a fast idle i would look for a intake leak.
OK, at around 12miles down the road at about 65 miles an hour my truck losses power when i let off the gas pedal it seems to idle fine turn the ignition off wait for 3-5 min turn key and continue. P1000 on any ford means you have cleared the PCM codes and it hasn't run it's self-diagnostic tests yet. This will go away. It is not related to your rough idle.
Yes, a broken or disconnected accelerator cable is the likely cause for the accelerator pedal to quit working. The car will still run fine but will not be able to accelerate past idle.
Check the fuel pump and fuel filter.
Idle Air control (IAC) Bad Idle Air control (IAC) Bad
...sounds like you've got a dirty fuel filter. Fuel is delivered fine at idle, but when higher demand is made ( you press down gas pedal, the blockage prevents delivery of fuel.
Let it idle when moving and get back to us.
The IAC (idle air control) may be at fault. Has the check engine light been on?
