Your wording is not very clear, so I am guessing that you mean the engine stalls out or dies at a light. If that is what you mean, the cause could be in the Air/Fuel delivery systems such as fuel pressure or air intake or a sensor like the Mass Air Flow/Mass Air Pressure sensor, Idle Air Control valve, or possibly just a low idle which causes the car to stall out when you come to an idle in gear and the rpm's are too low to handle all the electrical loads on the vehicle.
