- It is a good thing to a point that both parents take an interest as far as what their son or daughter is doing on the internet to protect them. The Internet can be dangerous and an open cesspool of persons who are deviates. However, it appears your mother is over doing it and should give you some privacy, but you have to earn the trust. There is an old fashion way to get in touch with your boyfriend 'by phone!' Talk to your mother and try to come to a point with this problem where she gives you a little more privacy.
