oil pressure switch. went it go bad it will turn off gas pump
1998 chevy blazer wont start good spark and good fuel presure
No, it would not start.
A bad engine temp sensor can do that.
Several problems can cause a 1999 Blazer not to start. There could be a fuel problem or a firing problem. Check for fuel pressure and ignition spark first.
You need 60 psi or it will not start.
I had a Chevy blazer with the same problem. It had spark, fuel pressure, good battery & good starter. I sprayed some carburetor quick start spray & it started. They blazers have a problem with the fuel injection.
It will depend on the outside air temp, but 35 give or take 5 is a good place to start.
You may have some fuel pressure but not enough. Do a pressure test with a fuel pressure test gauge, it should have 41 to 47 psi to properly run the engine. Sorry, But that engine should have 9 to 13 LBS. of fuel pressure. No lower are higher are you will have problems.
They are screewed into the exhaust pipe / pipes. Start at the engine and work your way back to the muffler. There is only 1 on that engine, It will be up close to the engine.
you need at least 50 psi to run and 55 or so to keep it running thats with cpi engine the others use less pressure and a different fuel pump....
There has to be more information before the question can be answered. Does the engine crank when the ignition is turned? There are three things an engine must have to be able to start. You must have fuel, fire, and air. If one of those is missing then it will not start.
You have another problem other then the knock sensor if the engine will not start and run. A knock sensor will not cause the engine not to run.
