One filament of bulb burned out (double filamented bulb) Replace bulb
I would check all the wiring first. Then, you should probably figure out if any lights need to be replaced. That's my guess.
Each type of vehicle has a unique design to its headlight assembly. Some have the headlight and emergencey lights in one housing others have them seperated.
I don't know about the headlight yet, my truck has the same problem. but about the parking lights. your switch is bad, mine is too. i just bypassed it with a new switch that i put into the dash. headlights are either sealed beams or bulbs both have 2 elements. one for bright and one for low the low is burned out replace the bulb or sealed beam
Outside walls can be as bright as one wants them to be. Some prefer to have very bright lights to light up an area, while others prefer dimmer lights to accent a spot.
On a four headlight system there are two filaments for the inner lights. They have a filament for a high beam and one for a low beam.
You change the bulb for the right headlight the exactly same way as you changed the left only opposite. If you are replacing one headlight, even if the other still works it is best to replace them in pairs, for lights can dim and if you have a bright bulb and a dim bulb you could be in danger of distracting other drivers and causing an accident.
WigWag lights - usually used on emergency vehicles when one headlight goes on and the opposite one goes off (flashes)
Your headlight control knob (the round one you twist on the dash board) is set to auto, or manual. I forget which setting won't allow you to "click" on the high beams with the left indicator lever. It only took me 4 years owning one before I figured that out. Its in the owners manual too. Ray's Answer- - You also have to have your lights turned on on the car so the high lights come on!!!!

Probably not.
Has your gauge lighting dimmer switch ( to the right of your headlight switch ) been turned all the way down ( or to one side ? ) Depending on the year of Ford Explorer that can keep your interior lights from coming on when you open a door
