Ha! I just had this happen yesterday! Well, today my car died in traffic and wouldn't restart or even turn over. It's in the shop as I type, and they are telling me it's the alternator. I'm not sure I believe them. Why would that cause weird lights to come on? Other conditions: hot weather, A/C on. We also replaced the original mfr's battery about a month ago, and I now wonder if that was related to the alternator or whatever problem is causing current issues.
Well....... They are most likely correct on the alternator. I just placed my 4th alternator on my 02 Sedona. When they go and the battery is getting low. weird things happen with the electrical system. Also when the battery light comes on, it also has the brake light come on as well. I just finally went on line and purchased a go OEM alternator by USA Alternator and it finally fixed the problem.
The battery light stays on when the alternator is over or under charging. The red brake light stays on when the parking brake is set or the fluid is low. The abs light stays on when the abs computer detects a malfunction and sets a code.
Park brake light - might mean the e-brake pedal is slightly moved down to initiate light. Battery light - means the alternator is bad or battery bad etc. Parking brake light also comes on when the brake fluid runs low... This happened on a 2003 kia Rio the next day the car died it is either because of a bad battery, alternator or alternator fuse
possibly have a brake light out
it happened to my 2003 kia sedona it was the alternator it was not chargeing need to be replaced (very long time to replace like 6.5 hours) had shop do it
The spot to connect the remote starter parking light to the brake wiring in a 2002 Kia Sedona is just above the brake pedal.
ive put in brake fuild oil toped that up checked the battery level all ok still the battery light and hand brake light are still on...
brake light and battery light is on
You need to have the engine and brake systems checked for codes. See related questions below.
Sounds like battery/alternator problems. Check battery first, it's cheaper to replace.
The button on your dashboard
could be a bad alternator or battery
low on brake fluid top off
