The battery light stays on when the alternator is over or under charging. The red brake light stays on when the parking brake is set or the fluid is low. The abs light stays on when the abs computer detects a malfunction and sets a code.
it happened to my 2003 kia sedona it was the alternator it was not chargeing need to be replaced (very long time to replace like 6.5 hours) had shop do it
Park brake light - might mean the e-brake pedal is slightly moved down to initiate light. Battery light - means the alternator is bad or battery bad etc. Parking brake light also comes on when the brake fluid runs low... This happened on a 2003 kia Rio the next day the car died it is either because of a bad battery, alternator or alternator fuse
You probably have a bad ground. Check the grounds on the brake lights.
Put some brake fluid in the master cylinder.
same problem what the answer
FYI - I had a bad alternator. Apparently, a failed alternator may/can/will cause the battery AND brake warning lamps to come on. Alternator has been replaced, and all warning lamps cleared.
Several potential reasons that your battery is not charging. It could be that your battery is too old and must be replaced. Alternatively, the electrolyte in your battery is low and that you have damaged your plates by not replacing the lost fluid with distilled water. Thus, you may have to replace your battery. Or, as you suggest, it could be a defective alternator (actually voltage regulator in the alternator). However, first you should check the belt your alternator runs off. If may be loose, causing the alternator not to charge the battery. Old belts develop multiple microcracks that will loosen the belt tension. Have you replaced your alternator belt since you purchased the vehicle (about every 50,000 miles)? If your belt is tight, it could be that your alternator is bad. Brake light could be related to alternator issue, or you have a separate problem with the brake fluid sensor. Remember to check your brake fluid at least monthly. Hope this helps.
Battery and brake light coming on means the Alternator is not charging the battery . It could either mean a bad circuit connection or the alternator is just shot. Have the Alternator checked.
That means the alternator needs to be replaced. You probably found this out by now.
Weird electrical problems tooHa! I just had this happen yesterday! Well, today my car died in traffic and wouldn't restart or even turn over. It's in the shop as I type, and they are telling me it's the alternator. I'm not sure I believe them. Why would that cause weird lights to come on? Other conditions: hot weather, A/C on. We also replaced the original mfr's battery about a month ago, and I now wonder if that was related to the alternator or whatever problem is causing current issues.Well....... They are most likely correct on the alternator. I just placed my 4th alternator on my 02 Sedona. When they go and the battery is getting low. weird things happen with the electrical system. Also when the battery light comes on, it also has the brake light come on as well. I just finally went on line and purchased a go OEM alternator by USA Alternator and it finally fixed the problem.
yes i think cause the battrie runs of the alternator
could be a bad alternator or battery
