Racism is a big problem in the US due to a long history of systemic inequality, prejudice, and discrimination against people of color. It is deeply rooted in the country's past, impacting various social, economic, and political aspects of society. Addressing racism requires ongoing efforts to challenge biases, promote understanding, and advocate for equality and justice for all.

Racism is basically where people judge each other based on their race, and that has been around for a long time. In about the 1700's the U.S. was different than today. White people treated black people badly and that's just been around since then, but hopfully still not today.
