Why does the air conditioner drain on the passenger floor board of a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500?

The AC condensation drain is plugged causing the water to back up and leak onto the front passenger side floor.

∙ 6y agoEither you have mold buildup on your evaporator, or the drain itself is plugged. Look on the firewall, there should be an open ended rubber tube. Make sure it's clear.

this could be from the heater core. When the heater core goes out it leaks....right into the passenger side floor board If it is water, not coolant, the problem could be a plugged air conditioner drain. Easily accesible from under the hood.
