You first have to convert the pool to a chlorine system As a salt water system is a chlorine system.
To maintain a small Intex pool you will need a filter, pool vacuum, pool test kit, net, and chemicals. Keep the filter running to clean the water, test the water daily. Adjust chemicals for chlorine, and PH. Use the net to scoop out leaves and debris as needed, vacuum the pool as needed as well.

No A salt water pool is in fact also chlorine pool, the difference being that with a salt water pool a salt water chlorinator converts the salt that is in the water into chlorine gas which is then dissolved into the water while the filter is running. the conversion wont have any adverse effects on the pool.
Are you using iodized salt or pool salt? I've read that the iodine in the iodized salt will leave yellow staining in the pool.
Aside from the fact that chlorine is a corrosive substance there is no particular risk involved.
Swim maybe?
No, metal-free does not have the ability to remove chlorine from water. Metal-free is typically a product used to sequester or bind metal ions in the water to prevent staining or other issues. To remove chlorine from water, you would need to use a chlorine neutralizer or a water filtration system that is designed to remove chlorine.
