Tires and/or wheels out of balance?
What make the steering wheel shake is the tires that need wheel balance.
Most common reason is improperly balanced wheels, next would be alignment but that usually causes a pull to the left or right.
my Nissan shook at around 90-100km/hr. The problem was the coolant leaked into the tranny fluid and changed the viscosity of the fluid, something like that. I had to get the tranny rebuilt another glitch that Nissan never solved, mine was an 05, they cannot say it won't happen again
Not the steering wheel shake itself, however what is causing the steering wheel shake, can certainly be extremely dangerous and potentially cause you to lose control of the vehicle. **GET IT CHECKED OUT BEFORE THAT HAPPENS**
Bronze radio return "shake, shake, shake"
Yes, it is possible. Any loose/worn front end part can cause steering wheel to shake.
Yes A VERY common concern is steering wheel shake due to ice in the rims
usually your cars out of alinment
check the upper and lower trail end bushings
The most common cause of steering vibration at that speed would be either an out of balance tire, bent wheel or a defective tire. It is also possible that there could be a bent or worn front axle (half-shaft) or worn CV joint, but although those things also happen quite frequently, that's not quite as common as a cause of front end vibrations.
Your power steering pump and or steering box may be about to give out on you.
There are several causes of this but the most common we call a head shake. This is when the tires shake side to side, the cure is to insure the steering is tight and you add one or two hydraulic steering dampers.
