Look for a loose ground/connecting wire.

You probably have gotten an answer by now ,but no they do not '88 was the last you for that transmission after that the became computerized

Try checking Fuse #7 10amp under the dash. This is for a 1997 model.

If the speedometer and tachometer are not working in a 1994 Nissan Kingcab 4X4 V6, it could be that a fuse is burned out. It could also be that their mechanisms in the undercarriage are corroded or dirty if the vehicle was used for 4-wheeling off road.
They are usually located in the spare whell bracket
The sensor is located behind the grill on the left hand side
5w30 is recommended for year round use by nissan. if the outside temperature stays above 0 then 10w30 can be used.

In 1991 you could buy a brand new Nissan pickup for $7500. The base model did not include A.C., a rear bumper, or a tachometer. The tach and bumper could be added on if they were wanted but were made an option to keep the price down.
Check the plastic "Molex" connector at the firewall. Disconnect and reconnect. Same thing happened on my 1894 Maxima; could drive the car but the tachometer and other gauges stopped working.
