Defective new sensors, shorted wire, defective computer
I had all sensors replaced in my 03 Trailblazer and the check engine light stiil comes on. Why?
Light sensors measure the number of photons or the energy of light hitting the sensor.

you must have the codes read and see if the 02 sensor is even the reason for the light. And yes you can remove it bu csr will not get good gas mileage

Could be anything. normally its the oil level is low or the sensor is broken. it could also be your oxygen sensors are broken and need replacing.
Stop light sensors are a loop of wire that is buried in the pavement and controls the traffic light. The sensors are able to detect the traffic that is waiting at the light.
Check engine light will come on for various reasons. The o2 sensors could be one of them. If your belt breaks the light will come on and the engine will over heat. I mentioned the o2 sensor because when it comes on for this reason some people have had that light on for years without replacing the sensor.
MY 1991 VW DID THIS & THE RADIATOR RES. TANK HAS A SENSOR IN IT TO LET YOU KNOW TO ADD WATER TO THE SAFE LEVEL ON THE TANK.
If you are talking about the brake sensors then it is time to replace the front brake pads. You should also check the rears while you are at it. When replacing the front brake pads you will also need to change the sensors also.
The sensors that tell the car when the door is opened or closed are garbage.
The epc light in your VW Jetta could be on for many reasons. Your VW Jetta may need a new brake light or it could need an O2 sensor. The best thing to do is take it to a mechanic so they can properly diagnose the problem.
