Keyboard connector is not correctly seated
the keyboard connector is not seated properly
It is called a touchpad.
the input devuces of a laptop are the keyboard or touchpad
all you have to do is the fn key, and the F7 key at the same time, to disable the touchpad on a laptop. you can enable it again by doing the same thing again
Normally, on a laptop or notebook, there is an on/off button for the Touchpad. Sometimes, this is just above the Touchpad itself and may have a light indicator alongside the button also. Press the button, the light goes out, and the pad is disabled. Or, the button will be somewhere on the top row of keys/functions of the keyboard. You may have to press a special 'fn' key + this Touchpad key together, in order to turn it off.
Look at your mini's front edge, below the keyboard and touchpad. To the left of the touchpad you have the on/off switch, to the right there is a wireless on/off switch, with an antenna symbol beside it.
Well it depends.. has the laptop been dropped recently? could be a motherboard issue. Also try opening the laptop and make sure the keyboard is connected to the motherboard. Most likely it could be a keyboard gone bad in the hardware department which you would have to replace it.
If you have a laptop, one of 2 things are happening. Either your stick mouse is being tapped or you are tapping the touchpad causing the cursor to go where the mouse is pointing. Go into the Control Panel > Mouse settings to disable either the stick or the touchpad.
Most laptops already come with a touchpad. They have them built in and it is what is used as the "mouse" of the laptop.
Most laptops are fitted with a touch-pad rather than a mouse. However, Windows software is usually capable of recognising when a mouse has been plugged into a USB port, and will set up the necessary drivers.
for some laptop's there is a very tiny button above the touch pad but below the keyboard just click on it for other laptop's: Step 1 - Click the start button. Step 2 - On the start menu, click on the control panel. Step 3 - On the control panel menu, click on the hardware and sound icon. Step 4 - Under devices and computer icon, click on mouse. Step 5 - The mouse properties menu opens: For laptops with the synaptic touchpad, the touchpad can be disabled in the synaptic tab on the mouse properties menu. To put short, if you find any tab labeled ''synaptic'', click on it to disable the touchpad immediately. Continue to the next step if you can't find any such tab. Step 6 - Click on the hardware tab. You should now be faced with two icons depicting a mouse. Highlight the PS/2 Compatible mouse and click on the properties button. Step 7 - On the ps/2 compatible mouse properties menu, click on "change settings". Step 8 - Click on the driver tab. Step 9 - Click disable. Step 10 - Confirm your action and click OK. You may need to restart your computer at this point. After you restart, the laptop touchpad should be disabled. To re-enable the touchpad, you simply need to do the opposite of what you just did to disable it.
