Because an idiot designed the motor, there is a water inlet tube that goes from behind the thermostat housing on the drivers side, between the two cylinder heads and under the intake, into the water pump housing! Either the housing itself is corroded or the end of the tube; or both, and water is getting past the o-ring that's suppose to keep it water tight! And you will not find a single word or even a picture or any instructions in your Chiltons manual on it, nor can you pick one up at Napa or Checker; there's no listing for it at local parts stores! I just got one from Parts.com for $54, list price$78, the dealer here in Hawaii wanted $103 back order. But to get to it you need to get to waterpump, timing belt, etc... no fun!
