i suspect a bad coil, as it heats up opens up shuts off spark, but will crank right back up,replaced a ton of coils for that old a ranger. Also make sure the heater valve is not leaking in off position, run into alot of them that in off position squirt antifreeze directly on coil, killing it.Check fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plug wires, and electrically chek alternator.
I don't know if this will help or not but my 2000 Tahoe was shutting off while driving, sometimes starting right back up and sometimes it took some cranking. It turned out to be the crank position sensor.
My 90 lesabre did the same thing. When it cut off after driving I sprayed water on the crank sensor and it started right back up. A buick mechanic told me to do this and this is how I found out the crank sensor was bad!
Driving is a privilege not a right
Nope. It's not illegal, so unless they have a logical explanation for shutting down, they aren't. You can try it right now; it's still up.
Driving in ANY State is a privilege, not a right.
right behind you if you capture any
NHL player Paul Ranger shoots left.
The crank for a 350 Chevy turns clockwise or to your right if standing in front of the motor .
the crank pulley bolt has standard threads.
Well, to answer my own question... :-) There is a "U" shaped clasp that you pull off the crank right behind the handle. Very simple! Then.. when putting the window crank back on, just put the clasp on the handle, then push it on the crank! It'll click right in. Happy Fixin'!
Same problem I had. You need a new ignition switch. Current one has a short which is disabling fuel pump, therefore shutting engine down while driving
Driving, at the Federal level, is defined as engaging in commerce. That is not a right. Traveling, however is a right.
