ur distributor is going bad
The 1994 LT1 makes 275HP, while the 1995 LT1 makes 285HP stock.
Well if you mean how many gears than a stock Firebird with a V6 is a 5 speed, a Trans Am with the LT1 or LS1 is 6 speed.
The V8 was a 5.7L LT1 that produced 275 hp and 325 lb-ft torque.
All 1993 Pontiac Trans Ams were made with the LT1 engine.
Chevy 350 LT1
The LT1 Trans am is rated to have 275whp from the factory.
will a mid 80s 305v8 fit in a 1993 firebird that had a lt1 in it
95% the same yes. The Vette had 4 bolt mains vs the Camaro/Firebird 2 Bolt Mains and the vette had SLIGHTLY better intake/exhaust. All in all the Vette Lt1 developed about 25hp more than the Camaro/Firebird version (which can EASILY be caught up to)
stock lt1: 93-95 275 hp to the crank 96-97 285 hp to the crank http://www.hpsalvage.com/lt1.htm
There was no there was no LT1 in 2001 Trans Ams in 2001 Trans Ams...
the type of engine in the trans am
According to Chiltons Camaro/Firebird 1993-98 Repair Manual the correct gap for the 5.7L LT1 should be .035 and for the 3.4L it's .045 but I would double check Chiltons because I've seen a gap of .050 for the LT1 all over the web?? Maybe the .050 is the wrong gap??
