Why does your 97 dodge neon constantly overheat and then bubble when you turn it off?

why it over heats can be a few reaasons first being a faulty thermometer. However the water pump, fan, or an electrical connection could be broken. The reason it bubbles is the water in the motor is either boiling temperature or close to there when the motor is running normally. Once it overheats, the water gets very very hot.
