What is wrong with your dash?
Late 90's or early 2000's Lincoln Continentals had a projection screen dash. They looked digital, kind of crazy looking really.
on the transmission drivers side towards the rear
It is the electronics that control the dash, it's either the whole unit, or something small like a loose plug, or a wire. This happened to me on a 1995 Lincoln contennital.
To answer your question, Yes and No. Yes it is an available option however you may have a stripped down model.. Don't get me wrong I have had the digital dash and experienced problems. And have also had the standard dash and had no problems. So yes it does, no you may not have it on your model..
Most cars have them up under the dash, near to the wall between engine and passenger compartment.
Chevy Caprice had the digital dash installed from 1994 and up, but if you have an older model you can still get the digital dash.
i replaced the head unit and the fuse stoped blowing.
by using some of the converters we can swap the analog dash into digital
