I have a 1990 Lumina Euro 3.1 that done this and it about drove me crazy. I had replaced all 3 coil packs and thought it fixed it but then it happened again. Come to find out it was the ECM that sits directly under the coil packs. It's fairly easy to replace but the starter wire is in the way of the center coil pack, so you may have to remove it. Hope this helps.
while you are in park? That should be normal. While in gear or driving, no that isn't.
I have a 92 lumina euro that did that and it turned out to be my crank sensor. The problem could also be the Torque Converter Clutch, bad plugs and wires, distributer cab, low idle could cause this to.
Bad ecm
No.
The brakes are the primary cause of stopping a car whilst driving.
I will stop for a while and wash my eyes and take a rest and then i will continue my driving
Stop the car!
My 1992 Euro Lumina 3.1 just recently started doing this too. I have no sound reasoning but am exploring options to keep it on the road. Ive found shifting down to 1 or 2 will sometimes let you pull out, and then you can just put the car back in overdrive and carry on problem free. It seems to do it most at stop lights or stop signs after driving a while. My car has around 184,000 miles as a point of reference. I will try to respond if I find any real mechanical repairs or solutions. How long have you been experiencing the same problem? Been going about a month with only slight worsening for me.
Yes. He can't do it while you are driving.
the brakeMoreAlso losing all transmission fluid will cause your car to stop while driving. So will crashing into something.
