No. Hook up the power wire first, then the ground wire. The ground wire is what acutually draws the power to the unit. As you will notice the power wont turn on if just the power wire is plugged in..
Hook up the red wire to the fuse box or another wire that gives power when the key is on. Hook up the white wire to a wire coming out of the headlight switch. This will make is so that when you turn your headlights on, the light will come on on the tach. If you don't mind the light on the tach being on all the time then just hook it to another power wire. Hook the black wire to a ground like a screw or a bolt. The green wire is the signal wire. Run it through your fire wall. Hook it up to the negative side of the coil. There will be a negative sign on the coil denoting the correct side.
to hook up the tach use the hot lead on the disributor and to any good ground wire and if there is a light hook it to the wire on you light switch
my question is why do you want to do this? then i might be able to help. if your trying to hook it up for the power feed wire to the stereo, go to the fuse panel and with a test light check for a fuse that powers up with key on and then turn the key off to see if power gose away. if it dose they sell a clip u put in under the fuse and u can hook the wire into thet clip.
Take the wire off the injector and use a volt ohmeter to test it. Hook the red or + lead to the wire and ground the -ngeative wire. Have someone turn it over with the starter. If they are getting power the volt ohmeter will register it in pulses.
you run the power wire to the thermostat on the wall then you run a wire to the 1st heater and then you run another wire from the 1st heater to the 2nd heater and hook red on red and black on black with wiring mariette's in the heaters junction box on left or right side which ever is more suitable for you and then you go to the wall thermostat and hook red on red and black on black with the wiring mariette's and then you hook your power wire to the power supply which is 100 or 200 amp service and on a double 20 breaker and the wire has to be no smaller than 12/2 wire. also do not forget to hook the ground wire (bare copper) on the green screw on your heater and in the thermostat box and then on the power supply box..... now you can turn up your thermostat and enjoy the heat ...........LEE48
Connect the ground wire to the metal box.
by using a wire cutter to turn the medal to the shape j
Do you mean the main power from the battery or the remote turn on? If you mean the battery power, usually amp add on kits come with distributor blocks. You make one run of power wire from the battery to somewhere close to your amps. Then, hook that wire to the block, and run a new piece of wire from the block to each amp. If you mean the turn on lead, just make one run from the head unit to the first amp, and then run another piece from the first amp to the second.
open hood, find the light that is out. disconnect wire hook up from it. unscrew retainer from light. pull out light. put in new light. make sure you do not touch glass part of new light, the oil on your hand will make new light burn out faster. replace light retainer. and hook up wires. turn on lights to see if they work.
This is wiring 2 baseboard heaters with a double pole wall thermostat you run the power wire to the thermostat on the wall then you run a wire to the 1st heater and then you run another wire from the 1st heater to the 2nd heater and hook red on red and black on black with wiring mariette's in the heaters junction box on left or right side which ever is more suitable for you and then you go to the wall thermostat and hook red on red and black on black with the wiring mariette's and then you hook your power wire to the power supply which is 100 or 200 amp service and on a double 20 breaker and the wire has to be no smaller than 12/2 wire. also do not forget to hook the ground wire (bare copper) on the green screw on your heater and in the thermostat box and then on the power supply box..... now you can turn up your thermostat and enjoy the heat ...........LEE48
The green wire goes to the negative side of the coil. The yellow wire is probably for a light in the dial. You'd want to connect it to a power source that comes on when the headlights are on. The red wire should be connected to a source that is live anytime the key is in the on position.
