my question is why do you want to do this? then i might be able to help. if your trying to hook it up for the power feed wire to the stereo, go to the fuse panel and with a test light check for a fuse that powers up with key on and then turn the key off to see if power gose away. if it dose they sell a clip u put in under the fuse and u can hook the wire into thet clip.
Run the RED wire to a circuit controlled by the ignition switch. Only the yellow wire should run off the battery, or an "always hot" circuit.
To bypass the ignition switch on a 1994 Chevy Astro, simply attach a wire to the ignition switch where it makes contact after the key is turned on. Run the wire to the push button and install at the lower part of the ignition switch to send power to the starter. Ê
my ignition is broke and on the on position how can i bypass the ignition n use a toggle for power and a pushbutton to start run thik power wire from positive of battery to starter. then wire from starter to distributer. then run wire inside or vehicle to push start and ground it or run back out to battery to neg. put toggle switch some where in the process to kill it.
CHECK YOUR WIRING DIAGRAMS TO BE SURE YOU DON'T NEED A RELAY. Make sure your switch can handle the amperage on the starter circuit!!! Buy a multimeter (if you don't have one). Put it on Volts DC. Go to the back of your ignition switch. Find the constant 12 volt wire (always hot). Turn the key to accessory and find which wire now has power (this is your accessory). Turn the key to "on" and find which wire has power now (this is your ignition wire). Only one wire should be left, this is your starter wire. Now disconnect the battery To start with key Tap into the ignition wire and run a wire to the POWER terminal on the switch Tap into the starter wire and run another wire to the ACC side of the switch To start without the key Tap into the always hot wire and run a wire to the POWER terminal on the switch Tap into the starter wire and run another wire to the ACC side of the switch If your button is illuminated, you will also need to run a ground wire to the switch CHECK YOUR WIRING DIAGRAMS TO BE SURE YOU DONT NEED A RELAY.
run wire from red power wire on stereo to fuse panel .crimp blade terminal on the wire and slide it into one of the ignition (ign) slots
you can disconnect the starter relay and run a wire from the starter wire in the connector to the power wire on it p.s. it is easyer to take a curcit tester and probe the connectors with someone truning the ignition switch to fine the starter the starter wire is brown and im not sure about the power lead from the ignition switch
Hey Tim==If you have to giggle the switch I would think the problen is in the switch not in the wire. GoodluckJoe
The ignition wire that run to the cap is red. The one that to the key ignition is blue.
Run a new ignition switch controlled "hot" wire directly to fan motor
No it doesn't. The acc wire on your stereo is for accessory from your ignition switch. That's so you can turn your car key back and run your stereo without turning on the engine.
yes, you have two run a wire from the ignition where the lights are and connect it two the battery, this will power it with out the emobiliser acting as the switch...
Run a fused/switched wire from ignition sensitve circuit in fuse block or dash directly to motor harness
