It's bile, a chemical secreted by the liver for digestion. If a dog vomits yellow stuff or foamy yellow stuff it generally means his stomach is empty and this is causing nausea. Try increasing the frequency of his meals or offering a small snack between meals to keep a little something in his stomach and keep it settled.
Yellow vomitus is characteristic of bile, which means your dog is vomiting from an empty stomach. This is generally not a good sign and can indicate infection, obstruction or cancer. You should take your dog to a veterinarian for an examination to see what is going on in his stomach and intestines.
It's not uncommon to see a liquid yellow vomit in dogs. It's typically clear, sometimes a bit frothy and dog owners usually see this type of vomit first thing in the morning, or shortly before a scheduled meal. Generally speaking, dogs vomit a yellow liquid when they have an empty stomach. The bile and stomach acids accumulate in the empty stomach and this upsets the stomach's lining, resulting in inflammation and discomfort.
To help treat this, instead of feeding one or two large meals per day, divide the dog's daily food portion into three or four smaller meals. This will help keep the stomach fuller, longer, preventing the accumulation of bile and gastric fluids.
Give Pepcid AC or other similar medication. Your veterinarian can give you the correct dosage based on your dog's weight.
Most cases involving a dog who is vomiting a yellow fluid can be solved with more frequent feedings, and/or medication. But in a few instances, an underlying problem is to blame. So if you don't see improvement, additional investigation will be required.
Take your dog to the Vet
stop feeding your dog yellow paint.
Umm, does your dog have rabies? Maybe you should take it to the Vet...... O.o That's just not normal, dude. And I study to be a vet, and: 1) I have NEVER in my life heard of foamy yellow vomit from a dog, and 2) Know that's not natural and not good at all. If your dog has foamy yellow vomit, you need to probably take it to the Vet immediately. That would scare me half to death, i don't know about you.
