All dogs shed, it's a dog thing. But if the shedding is extreme it may be a dietary problem. Check with a vet.
Jupiter's gravity is 2.528 times that of the earths, so a 60kg great Dane would weigh around 152kg.
okay! I think I figured it out... You had: Alsatian, Dalmatian, Poodle, Great Dane 1st: you had Jamie, The Dalmatian 2nd: The Alsatian, whitney 3rd:Great Dane, sammy 4th:Poodle, Jimmy so Jimmy is not a dane he's a poodle.
Great danes are great guard dogs but if yours is not barking at strangers there are three reasons I can think of: 1. Your Great Dane senses no threat from strangers so it is just calmly noticing them or not caring, 2. Your Great Dane is scared of strangers so it dosen`t bark, and 3. Your Great Dane is possibly sick or suffering something or some sort of ailment because Great Danes feel the need to defend territory.
Great danes are huge, and friendlly and beagles are small and friendly but can be noisy and howl. So is a great dane better? That would have to be your oen opinon. My opinion is yes to your question.

They shed quite a bit in the summer, but in the winter they don't really shed that much. So it kind of depends on the weather.
No, because the great Dane is the specific name because the Dane which it was first called, is very great and big, and was named after King Dane, because he had one, and king Danes dog was named Greaty (graaatee) so they named it the Great Dane Sorry, but the above is not correct. Great Danes originated in Germany and had nothing to do with Denmark. They were originally called Deutsche Dogge and German Mastiff. Originally bred for boar hunting but quickly became used to guard German royalty. That protectiveness is still part of their genetic structure. They became"Great Danes" only after a French writer accidently encountered one on Denmark. He called it a Great Dane and the name stuck.
Brutus was born into a large litter, and his mother didn't have enough milk for him and she pushed him away. Danke, the Garrison's pet Dachshund, had 3 puppies and too much milk, so Brutus was fed on Dachshund milk and grew up with Dachshunds. It wasn't enough for Mark Garrison to show him a picture of a Great Dane in a dog book - he decided to enter Brutus in a dog show. When Brutus saw a female Great Dane, he finally understood that he was truly a Great Dane.
Great Danes have very thin coats, so they do not like cold weather. If it's comfortable for a person, it's comfortable for a Great Dane. In cold weather they really do need a coat to help them keep warm, just like a person.
well u need to put a lot of your time into owning one plus they r so big u need to think about your budget of how much you want to spend on it.
I weighed my pups @ 12 weeks. They are healthy and fit. My male great dane was 45 pounds and the female weighed 39 pounds. However, I hear that they vary in growth. Some grow out while others get longer and others grow taller so I imagine it may vary slightly.
