I had a similar problem with my 1992 Ford Explorer. What I found out was that my ignition switch was sticking forward, just before engaging the starter. A little W-D 40 and it was fixed. I found this after taking apart the dash and checking every circuit in the fuse box. Sometimes the best solution is the easiest. It's worth a try at least.
How do you replace brake lights
It depends on the vehicle but in general you would have one fuse for the signals and one fuse for the brake lights.
fuse, bulbs, switch on brake pedal.
Brake lights
Check fuses or headlight switch
There are a couple of reasons why a 1993 Jeep Wrangler tail and brake lights may not work. The light bulbs may be blown or a fuse may need replaced.
Fuse 7 controls the brake lights. It should be a red 10amp fuse.
Brake lights and turn signals are on a separate circuit from the tail lights. Tail lights are on the same circuit with the dashboard lights. If the dashboard lights aren't working either, check the fuse. If they ARE working, check the headlight switch.
Blown fuse
Could be the brake light switch or fuse.
i have tail lights but do not have brake lights nor do i have turn signals. i have replaced brake switch and all bulbs
It is not necessarily the fuse. It could be the switch on the brake that is not closing the circuit.
