If the blower works on the defrost mode only, you could have a disconnected vacuum supply line coming from the engine. If the blower motor doesn't work on any mode or speed you could have a blown fuse, burned out blower motor speed resistor, bad switch or a bad blower motor.
Blower motor resistor is bad. It is a little circuit board with resistors on it that changes voltage to the blower motor. When it goes bad, you get full speed only.
You need to replace the resistor board locate on the inside passanger side where the blower motor is located . It is attached to the blower motor with 4 screws as I recall and can be readily replace if you are somewhat handy around cars. The part Iam sure must be purchased at the dealer for around 35 dollars.
Hi, The Blower Motor Resistor pack is mounted right next to the blower motor. You have to remove the insulator panel from the passenger side floor board area to get to the blower motor and the resistor pack. Once you have that off, the resistors and blower motor are near the firewall, and can be removed by taking out the screws that hold them in place. I believe there are 3 or 4 screws that hold the motor and 2 screws for the resistor pack. There should be a "Related Link" at the left of this answer that will give you more details.
the fuse should be on the board with all the wires going to it
Blower circuit board is shot
when a blower motor only works on high, it is usually due to faulty resistor board. Should be located in the duct near the blower. the purpose of this is so the air blown by the blower keeps the resistors cool.
The blower resistor board is mounted underneat the blower motor. They are both accessible by taking off the long plastic cover at the top of the firewall from inside the engine compartment.
i had a 1990 acura legend my blower motor was located under the passenger side dash board
The resistor is located on a small circuit board close to the blower, it can be seen by removing the glove compartment.
The high-speed relay is part of the blower resistor board, mounted in the air duct behind the coolant/washer bottles. Follow the wires from the blower motor, they lead to the resistor connector block that the blower resistor board is plugged into.
remove dash from 62 chevy
No it doesnt...
