either crank sensor or cam sensor. but more then likely its the cam sensor located in the distributer.
Follow the spark plug wires.... :)

If you have an old lawn mower spark plug (or any spark plug), pull off any spark plug wire and attach the old plug to it. Lay the plug down on on a grounded metal part of the engine and have someone crank the engine over and watch for spark. My guess is you have spark but no fuel. A bad fuel pump is common for GM.
