Simply because, GUIs can be of any level of complexity. Elements such as buttons, links, etc all need to properly reference to different objects. If you click here, go there, if you click down there, go here, etc. It is like a very big, complex web. You can imagine that procedural code would make it very difficult to do anything that can grant the user the ability to press whatever they want whenever they want. That's why object oriented code is much more preferable.
Procedural programming has been used for thousands of graphical applications, The most well known application it has been used for is the creation of the operating system known as Linux. despite there being numerous variations of Linux that are available for anyone to use free of charge due to it's open source nature, each of these variations uses procedural programming to create the kernel that is runs from. The kernel itself is created in the procedural programming language known as Python.I hope this is a better answer than the one before it :)
AWT is a Java package for creating graphical user interfaces. JavaScript is a completely unrelated programming language.
AWT stands for Abstract window tootlkit . Abstract window Toolkit provides a standard application programming interface for writing graphical user interfaces in java.
You just have to know the symbols of flowchart and make the graphical representation of algorithm
In Java , Graphical User Interface (GUI) programming. Users interact with modern application programs using graphical components such as windows, buttons, text boxes, and menus. It would be difficult to write a GUI application from scratch. Luckily, most of the work has been done for you in a set of classes called Swing.

"Graphical" means pictures, so yes, most user interfaces are graphical now. When you click on an icon to open a file or program, that's a graphical interface. A text interface was the standard before graphical interfaces took the computer world by storm.
Advantages: Ease of development, Flexibility, Simplicity and suitable for graphical interfaces. Disadvantages: Complex, Hard to control, Time consuming to get event loops and event handlers running.
Menu Driven Interface and Graphical User Interface
Command line interfaces have existed long before Graphical Interfaces. They are far more efficient for power users.
