The first humans got to Europe and Asia by walking. Some 60 thousand years ago, people walked across the Sinai Pensinsula and into Asia. They went up along the Mediterranean coast. They also went to India and to Australia. So modern humans crossed over from Africa to Asia to the Sinai. Some may have crossed over to Saudi Arabia by boats. We do not know. A type of human different from us had lived in Europe over a million years ago and then vanashed. We do not know what happened.

He was also the first European to sail through the Cape of Good Hope from Portugal (Europe) to India (Asia). So no mater where he went he was always noticed.
