herbivores have special digestive system which allows them to digest grass . earlier humans were also able to eat grass when there was no tradition or science to eat cooked food .but with the increase of science, humans started eating cooked food while ignoring raw food like grass,leaves. with time,human's digestive organs that were used to digest raw food (grass,leaves) became extinct.that is y now humans are not able to digest grass

Humans can eat grass although the general race dislikes it. Before the use of the plough grass was seen as a treat in many a country. For example in Pembroukshire Wales 1134 it was the main food scource. Many people belive Africa has no grass because of harsh enviroment, WRONG. People ate all of the grass.

humans cant digest grass as they dont have an enzyme called cellulase in their bodies.Cellulase helps the herbivores to digest grass.
