Why interested in computers?

Many people (like myself) find computers interesting because of their versatility:

You can run web pages, games, worksheets, spreadsheets, e-mail, programming studios, calendars, etc. all from the same computer.

Different types of people can have one or more specific interests in computers:

* Gamers might have an interest in computers because there is a large variety of electronic computer games available for Linux, Windows, and Macintosh Comptuers. * Programmers might have an interest in computers because they can develop useful programs and applications to make life for themselves (and others) easier. * Economists might have an interest in computers because computers can track and store information regarding money, and computers can process numbers very well. Many such people keep track of their income/expenses on a computer * Connectivistsmight have an interest in computers because of the internet. Computers use the Internet for e-mail, instant messaging, posting answers on WikiAnswers, even making phone calls. * Entertainists might have an interest in computers because of storage. Computers can store and recall many types of multimedia including pictures, music, and video
