As a religion, Islam is not important to Judaism. It does not inform Jewish Laws, Traditions, or Beliefs in any meaningful way. It is not used as a contrast or foil to Jewish beliefs or religion.

The one unique way that Islam is important to Judaism is that for the majority of Islamic History, the Muslims treated the Jews better and protected them from harm far better than the Christians. It was in Islamic Spain, the Islamic Aegean, Morocco, and the Levant where Jews reached the pinnacles of their culture prior to the Emancipation in Europe.
