usually a bad head gasket or cracked head
ya...its a sbc...they all interchange
A 1992 Chevy Caprice 305 5.0L engine holds 5 quarts of motor oil. This includes a small amount of oil used in the oil filter.
You could have a cracked engine block.
5
its the antifreeze thats what i was afraid of
What engine is it in? 305/350 V8s use 5L of 5w30 in the winter and 10w30 in the summer
It should be in the back of the engine, just to the drivers side of the distributor.
your OWNERS MANUAL will tell you' if you can read, that 5W30 is the required viscosity for the engine
Tire psi? Engine compression psi? Radiator cap psi? Engine oil pressure psi?
A bad head gasket is the most common cause of antifreeze mixing in the oil. The antifreeze will dilute the oil and it will eventually cause your engine to seize up.
10w30 weight oil.
Look at the oil on the dipstick. If you have antifreeze leaking into the crankcase the oil will be milky.
