Boudicca was important because she was a queen and because she battled the Romans with all her will. She killed her self with poison because she was scared to live with the Romans
Boudicca was important for several reasons. She nearly eradicated the Roman presence from Britain, and has served as a symbol for resistance ever since. She is one of England's national heroes and icons, and has also been used as a feminist icon, since she was a woman who nearly defeated the most powerful empire of the time. Queen Victoria also used Boudicca as an icon of her own legitimacy and power as a monarch, erecting a statue of Boudicca across from the Houses of Parliament to demonstrate her own power to hem.

She was the Queen of the Iceni because she was married to the King (Prasutagus), and he died. The Iceni had no problems with accepting a female ruler.
