Leaking heater core almost 100% of the time. Replace heater core. The head gasket separates the top part of the engine from the bottom part of the engine.

There are holes in the gasket that send coolant through the engine. Right next to the holes in the gasket is a wall made by the waffering of the metal, gasket, metal. Bigger holes have walls that Separate the pistons from the coolant system.

Your head gasket "wall" may be cracked and coolant is getting into the piston hole and burning off in your exhaust. Take a look to see if extra steam comes from your pipe.

A healthy engine will normally drip water, but extra steam and the smell of coolant in the exhaust would be a good sign of the damage of the gasket.

If you have run your coolant dry or over heated your car recently, it most likely will be this.

If the smell is from under your hood, your hose that transports the coolant from the radiator to the motor may be leaking. It may also be the radiator leaking onto the manifold. The hose is the cheap fix. The radiator is expensive and the head gasket is quite a dollar.

Flush radiator coolant 1997 Honda Accord?

Coolant is flushed from the radiator of a 1997 Honda Accord by opening the petcock and allowing the system to drain. The petcock is then closed, the system filled with water, and a flush added to the radiator to cleanse the system.

HOW TO DRAIN and refill COOLANT from a system which doesn't have radiator cap Would the coolant reach the radiator is we refill the coolant through the coolant header tank?

In systems that do not have a radiator cap, the coolant is drained by the radiator drain plug. It is filled by adding coolant to the system through the overflow bottle.

What are the causes of high pressure in RX7 cooling system The system loses coolant through the coolant bottle afte the radiator cap releases coolant.?

faulty pressure cap or center housing has rusted through to the outer seal ...

Does coolant run through the condenser?

No. Coolant only runs through your radiator into the engine and back again. Your condencer is part of your A/C system.

What does the cooling system do within the engine?

It cycles coolant through the engine. Heat from the engine is transferred to the coolant through a heat exchange. The heated coolant then cycles through the system to the radiator, where heat from the coolant undergoes another heat exchange, transferring heat from the coolant to the air which passes through the radiator. Heat will also transfer from the motor to the air forced over the motor by the engine fan.

Is your engine coolant supposed to move once the engine is on?

The coolant should circulate through the entire water system.

How does the cooling sistem of a 1999 Oldsmobile alero works?

The coolant pump draws coolant from the radiator and circulates the coolant through coolant jackets in the engine cylinder block and the cylinder heads. The coolant is then directed back to the radiator. The system directs some coolant through hoses to the heater core in order to provide for defrost and passenger compartment heat. A surge tank connects to the cooling system. Pressurized coolant continuously flows through the surge tank and the process repeats

Can you get THC in your system just by smelling a bag of marijuana?

No, you do not get THC in your system by smelling a bag of marijuana.

What does the radiator in a car do?

As coolant cycles through the engine, it absorbs heat from the engine, after which, it continues through the cooling system back to the radiator. As the coolant passes through the radiator, the heat is exchanged to the ambient air by way of airflow through the radiator fins (this is why it's important not to bend the radiator fins).

Where is the coolant going in your 1988 ford ranger?

it goes into your radiator, and then through your cooling system
