Your carburetor or timing needs to be set. Let a professional set it. Trust me, its worth the extra $$$.
It is right behind the engine, on top of the rear exhaust manifold and under the windshield wiper tray.
In the rear, of the engine, right in the center, on top of the exhaust manifold. Right where the exhaust meets the engine block.
Yes; in fact, they have 2. The catalytic converters on the intrepid are right below the exhaust manifolds. You can get to them by going under the car and looking up right under the engine.
they are located right at the exhaust manifold
Most likely you have broken exhaust valves. If it is broken valves and you like the car a lot get your engine rebuilt. I got my '88 integra engine rebuilt for $3000 and it is running great. My neighbor found a mechanic that quoted $900 for his '88 Izuzu Pup and it has never run right.
The oil filter is on the passenger side of the truck. Looking at the exhaust manifold count two ports left to right. Just under the second exhaust port you should see it tucked in an attached to the engine block.
Yes, a right and a left.
The engine size in a 96 Dodge Stratus is a 2.4 liter could have a 2.0L. It should say it right on the engine.
The marks on the timing chain gears are not TDC compression. They are TDC exhaust.
Catalytic converters are part of the exhaust system under the vehicle. They are right after the exhaust pipes come down from the engine
Disconnect Battery, Remove the exhaust from the turbo, removed the bracket from the engine for the exhaust, removed the freeze plug on the far right rear of the engine. If you can unscrew it then do it but I use a air hammer to remove them ( it seems faster that way but effective ).. When you get that all done just go in the reverse way you removed it.. It might take you an hour to perform this job...
Right above oil filter under exhaust
