The body needs nutrients to remain and have a better chance of being healthy. Without the right nutrients at the right levels, the body can't perform at its best level. You can't really have long term health with the wrong food, or to put it a better way; your chances for ill health increase when you don't supply the body with the nutrients (vitamins, minerals) and food groups (carbohydrates, fats, protein) it needs.
