It is not about Voldemort using Neville to resurrect himself, but it is said that he could have chosen Neville as his enemy. And in that case he would have been the "Chosen one" instead of Harry. It is said so because according to a prophecy, Voldemort's enemy will be born in July and to parents who'd disobey the Dark Lord thrice and both, Harry and Neville fall into the criteria. So it was a possibility that Neville would have been the chosen one.
Neville Longbottom.
Harry didn't have any help in the final duel with Voldemort - he specifically tells the onlookers that he doesn't want any help and that it has to be him. However, you could argue that without help from his friends and other people - most notably Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione and Neville - he would not have been able to successfully destroy all of Voldemort's Horcruxes and therefore Voldemort himself.
Most likely -- I mean he could not have killed a snake with an illusion, could he?
he believes it holds the answer to why he could not kill Harry, and will give him the information on how to kill Harry. because that was what part of what snape heard. Neville longbottom is also one possibility but lord voldemort chose harry instead of Neville. at first voldemort was going to spare lily but she wouldn't bugde so he killed her to kill harry.but couldn't make it.
Neville would've been the Chosen One if Voldemort had chosen to pursue him instead of Harry. You see, the prophecy spoke of a boy born at the closing of July -- Harry was born on the 31 and Neville was born on the 30, a day prior. Therefore, Neville had the potential to become the Chosen One without even knowing it.
If Lord Voldemort has chosen Neville Longbottom instead of Harry, his life would be very different.
Harry's mother wouldn't let voldemort kill harry and protected harry as much as she could until voldemort killed her. When voldemort finally tried to kill harry potter he was already protected through the power of love so the most damage voldemort could do was giving harry the thunderbolt shaped scar along with part of himself. When voldemort accidentally gave harry part of himself it drained his power leaving voldemort to vanish until he could regain his strength.
The prophecy that Sybill Trelawney made stated this: "One must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives" This prophecy refers earlier to Voldemort and Harry OR Neville - however Voldemort didn't realise at the time that it could have been either child and only thought it was referring to Harry. Thus the war began. So the section of the prophecy above is basically saying that only one of them can live in the end and whoever dies must be killed by the other. ie Harry must kill Voldemort or Voldemort must kill Harry. So therefore, since Voldemort isn't planning on dying, he must kill Harry himself as the prophecy states it.
Lord Voldemort who was sharing Professor Quirrell's body. Voldemort then drank the unicorns blood to keep himself alive until he could steal the philosopher's stone.
Because Severus Snape overheard a profecy made by Tralawney and the only part he heard was 'the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord aproaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and so he told voldemort and Voldemort went after harry, because his parents had defied him three times and his birthday is 7/31. it could have been Neville Longbottom too, but voldemort left him alone because he was a pureblood
Previously, Lord Voldemort appeared in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as the younger version of himself stored in his diary, which was a Horcrux. Harry stabbed the diary, thus destroying the Horcrux, before Voldemort could return to full strength.
that could mean 'flight of death'
