To change the way you see the data on a worksheet. If you are trying to see if you left out any names from an employee list, it is much easier to check the list if it is sorted alphabetically.

∙ 14y agoThere are several reasons to sort data. Two reasons are 1) to put a list in alphabetical order to see how many items begin with the letter m, 2) to see which is the largest cost of a group of products.
