The car tilts forward on the shocks as you slow down. Then when you finally stop, the front shocks pop back up, and you are thrown slightly backwards. :)
It is because the car is accelerating from zero miles per hour to a faster speed so you feel pushed backwards.
low transmission fluid clogged fluid filter
When the car is coming to a stop, it is decelerating--or it has negative acceleration.
It COULD be a motor mount or worn suspension component.
Your A/C compressor is shot. It's internal computer (or that of your car) is malfunctioning. The "jerk" is when your "A/C" kicks in...an A/C compressor takes much of your cars usable power. As it turns on and off you will get the hiss and jerk. (the hiss comes from the overworked compressor lines cooling)
well it depends if your wanting to go backwards then you put the car in reverse . or if your wanting to stop then you put the car on neutral.
A car model that is spelled the same forward and backwards is a race car. As you can see RACECAR backwards is RACECAR.
yes, this is for every state as well
you are going too slow for that gear your engine has very little torque at low rpm
a small evap leak would not cause your car to jerk.
The car will stop if the battery cable comes loose.
The bext/cheapest way I know of is to drive your car onto a fairly steep incline and see if the transmission can hold the car in place. For example, drive up a hill, come to a stop, and let off the brake. the stall converter should have enough grab to at least stop the car from rolling backwards. If you roll down the hill backwards as if it was in neutral your converter is bad.
