1997 dodge ram 1500 tried head light switch did not work.head lights and running lights do not work at the same time.
You either got a bad new Switch or more likely you have a power supply problem to the park side of the switch.
My money is riding on the headlight switch.
May possibly be in the multifuction switch on the left of the steering column!!!!
I would guess the headlight dimmer switch on the floor board is bad or has a loose wire. Possibly the head light switch is bad. The headlight switch has a separate circuit breaker for just the head lights.
When you have your head lights turned on (the switch turned to the right all the way), pull that same switch out towards you
I would suspect the light switch is going bad. Salvage yard is a good source for a replacement.
This sounds like a bad light switch. The head lights are usually wired seperately from all other lights so the only common point is at the switch.
Bulbs, switch or wiring
Yes.
you could have a broken or damaged switch for your head lights, or if they stay on for awhile after you turn off the switch, then you have daylight sensors and they should turn off automatcly Make sure the switch on the rear view mirror is turned off.
bad fuse or relay switch
