this is a common problem with the Vortec engine and the manifold gaskets that GM uses. In fact, if you do a search on GM manifold gasket you'll see all the chatter about a class action law suite related to this problem. Bottom line is that you'll need to replace the manifold gasket - preferably with an after market replacement (like Fel Pro) so you don't have to do it again!

One of the sensors is tripping the engine light. Codes need to be retrieved. Problems could be O2 sensor and or Catalytic Converter.

In my1999 Wrangler all I have to do is pull out fuse #4 and that solves the problem. It may be different in a 2005. If you have your owners manual, check there. I had the same problem...it was the "computer". I had to hit the dash for about a year, then it just stopped working. It was around 800.00 to fix. You need to do at a Chrysler dealer as they have to input the codes that your local mechanic will not have.
